Mrs. Yancey was well known in this section. She was born and reared in Jasper County and had lived in Allentown for the past 18 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband and four sons, Leo Yancey of Louvale, Paul Yancey, Montrose, Tom Yancey of Dublin and Joe Yancey of Allentown; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Collier of Allentown and Mrs. Ruth Kelly of Louvale; five brothers, Ernest Polk of Atlanta, Grover and Robert Polk of Vidalia, Jule Polk of Milledgeville and Carl Polk of Lyons; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel McElheney of Monticello and Mrs. Irene Smith of Lithonia. Three half-sisters also survive.
