Mrs. McElheney, the former Miss Ethel Polk, died early Sunday at the Georgia Baptist Hospital In Atlanta after a brief illness.
Until recent years, Mrs. McElheney was active in community and church affairs in the Gladesville Community near Monticello. She was a member of the Monticello Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hoyt Boykin and Mrs. Waldo Starr, both of Atlanta, and Mrs. Jimmy Simmons of Knoxville Tenn.; one son, Loyd McElheney of Monticello; one sister, Mrs. Irene Smith of Lithonia; four brothers, Grover Polk of Hampton, Julius Polk of Milledgeville, Bob Polk of Vidalia and Carl Polk of Monticello.
