Mr. Polk died Tuesday at his home. A native of Newton County, he had lived in the Atlanta area about 20 years He was a member of the Cascade Road Seventh-Day Adventist Church and was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, the former Earsie Boynton; two daughters, Mrs. T.A. Creel of Riverdale and Mrs. Mary Marco of Trenton, N.J.; five sons, Earl F. Polk of Decatur, James C. Polk of Columbus, Joseph F. Polk, Carl Polk, and George Polk, all of Macon; five sisters, Mrs. Irene Smith of Lithonia, Mrs. Ellis Tyler and Mrs. Bill Moseley of Milledgeville, Mrs. Zelda Johnson of McIntyre, and Mrs. Annie Mae Jump of Macon, and two brothers, J.B. Polk of Milledgeville and Carl Polk of Monticello.
