Ernest Eugene Polk, 65, retired building contractor, died yesterday morning at his residence, 334 Brooks Ave. N.E., after an illness of two months.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Peachtree Chapel, with the Rev. C.J. Buice officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Born in Covington, Mr. Polk had resided in Atlanta for 25 years and was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. C.B. Duke, of Norcross, Mrs. J.W. Perkerson and Miss Christine Polk, of Atlanta; three sons, J.F., H.C. and Herbert Polk, all of Atlanta, and two grandchildren.

Other survivors are six sisters, Mrs. C.D. Smith, of Lithonia, Mrs. Herbert McElheney, of Monticello, Mrs. Ellis Tyler and Mrs. Bill Moseley, of Milledgeville, Mrs. Owen Johnson, of McIntyre, and Mrs. Ed Jump, of Milan; and four brothers, R.N. Polk, of Vidalia, B.C. Polk, of Monticello, J.B. Polk, of Milledgeville, and G.C. Polk, of Macon.
