DOROTHY A. SUTHERLAND — CUMBERLAND — Dorothy Agnes Sutherland, 72, of Cumberland, Md., died Friday, November 11, 1977, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.

Born on September 18, 1905, in Garrett County, Md., she was a daughter of the late Harmon G. Broadwater and Harriett Catherine (Bittinger) Broadwater.

Mrs. Sutherland was the first of all 16 of her brothers and sisters to meet her parents at the heavenly gates.

Surviving are her husband, Theodore R. Sutherland; three step-sons, Calvin Sutherland, Vernon Sutherland and Harold Sutherland, all of Baltimore; four step-daughters, Nina Broadwater, of Frostburg; Jean Custer, Doris Whiteman and Barbara Raines, all of Baltimore; five brothers, Howard W. Broadwater, Grover C. Broadwater, Edward C. Broadwater and Herbert L. Broadwater, all of Cumberland, and Robert H. Broadwater, of Westernport, and 10 sisters, Minnie E. Broadwater, Theresa P. Broadwater and Lillie M. Broadwater, all of Westernport; Della V. Beeman, of LaVale; Flossie O. Beeman, of Lonaconing; Edith C. Long, of Cumberland; Nellie E. Llewellyn, of Barton; Myrtle M. Broadwater, of York, Pa., and Rosella J. Rounds and Thelma M. Bittinger, both of Grantsville.

Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Boal Funeral Home in Westernport and also from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Services will be conducted at the Funeral Home Monday at 3 p.m. with Jack Miller of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating.

Internment will be in Mt. View Cemetery at Moscow Mills.
