DELLA V. BEEMAN — LAVALE — Della Victoria Beeman, 100, of Lions Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, MD, and formerly of LaVale, MD, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at the Nursing Home.

Born on April 5, 1907, in Garrett County, MD, she was a daughter of the late Harmon G. Broadwater and Harriett Catherine (Bittinger) Broadwater. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Beeman, on Aug. 25, 1975; two sons, Frederick H. Beeman and Everett L. Beeman; seven sisters, Minnie Broadwater, Dorothy Sutherland, Flossie Beeman, Edith Long, Theresa Broadwater, Nellie Llewellyn and Myrtle Broadwater, and three brothers, Howard Broadwater, Edward Broadwater and Herbert Broadwater.

Mrs. Beeman was a member for over 90 years of the Dunkard Brethren Broadwater Chapel, Savage River Road in Garrett County, Maryland. Della was a homemaker and devoted her life to raising her family.
She also baked, sewed, quilted, crocheted and canned food in season. She loved to travel to other churches of her denomination and did so all over the United States.

Surviving are three sons, Donald E. Beeman and wife Barbara, of LaVale; Colin H. Beeman and wife Sandy, of Dayton, OH, and Steven E. Beeman and wife Diane, of Carlisle, PA; two sons, Mary C. Easton Bowers and husband Marvin, of Cumberland, and D. Lucille Taylor and husband Ken, of Laurel, MD; daughter-in-law, Julia Beeman, of Ohio; 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rosella Rounds and Thelma Bittinger, both of Grantsville, and Lillie Broadwater, of Westernport, and two brothers, Grover Broadwater, of LaVale, and Robert Broadwater, of Westernport.

Friends will be received at the Hafer Funeral Service, PA, Chapel of the Hills, 1302 National Hwy., LaVale on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday, at 1:00 PM with Elder Frank Shaffer, of Waynesboro, PA officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Beeman, Daniel Beeman, Charles Easton, Jonathan Beeman, John Beeman and Mark Easton.
