Mrs. Lucy Hartman died Monday at her home on Smith Creek at the age of 76 years.

A daughter of George W. and Martha Ellen (Calhoun) Vandevander, she was born at Circleville July 24, 1881.

Mrs. Hartman was married to Isaac P. Hartman who preceded her in death in 1932.

She is survived by 10 daughters: Mrs. Fred (Retta) Pennington, Ruddle, Mrs. Bessie Lambert, Accomac, Virginia, Mrs. Byron (Fanny) Bodkin, Brandywine, Mrs. Rennie (Gertrude) Lambert, Durbin, Mrs. Floyd (Martha) Simmons, Piqua, Ohio, Mrs. Joe (Virgie) Simmons, Mrs. Woodrow (Mary) Johnston, Mrs. Earl (Dora) Murphy, Mrs. Ralph (Nettie) Moyers, and Mrs. Kermit (Buanna) Judy, of Franklin.

Also surviving are four sons, Charlie, Harrisonburg, Arthur, Keyser, and Tom and Harry, Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Taylor Wimer, Franklin, Mrs. Daniel Propst, Staunton, and Mrs. Lee Vandevander, Franklin; five brothers, Clarence, Franklin, George, Durbin, Ellis, Virginia, Elmer, Harman, and Lonnie, Harrisonburg; and 61 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted this morning at 11 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Smith Creek by Elder Glenn Sponaugle, and interment will be in the Hartman Cemetery on Smith Creek by Brown Funeral Service.
