Buanna Cornelia Hartman Judy, 78, of the Smith Creek Community, near Franklin, died at her home Sunday, August 8, 1999, surrounded by her beloved family.

Mrs. Judy was born April 11, 1921, at Smith Creek and was the 14th child of the late Isaac Perry and Lucy Vandevander Hartman. Mrs. Judy was a homemaker and had many talents which she used in service to her family and others. She was an active member of the Franklin Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

On April 2, 1939, she married Kermit Adam Judy who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Kelly Harman, Harrisonburg, Virginia, Harriet and George Wilson, Bridgewater, Virginia, and Jennie and Jeffrey Hott, Franklin; eight grandchildren, Gregory Harman and wife, Kathy, Gaithersburg, Maryland, Tracy Brewer and husband, John, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matthew Wilson and wife, Vikki, Lexington, Kentucky, Lori Wilson, Bridgewater, Virginia, Abbie Cannon and husband, Jim, Morgantown, Allie Hott, Provo, Utah, Emilie Hott, Rexburg, Idaho, and Adam Hott, Franklin.

Ten great-grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Ryan, Jennifer and Daren Harman, Gaithersburg, Maryland, Steven, Jason, Jeffrey Brewer, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kyle and Kayleigh Wilson, Lexington, Kentucky; one brother, Harry Hartman, Franklin; two sisters, Vergie Simmons, Pendleton Nursing Home, Franklin, and Dora Murphy, Franklin. Preceding her in death were one great-grandchild, Hope Wilson; three brothers, Charlie, Arthur and Tom Hartman; seven sisters, Retta Pennington, Bessie Lambert, Fannie Bodkin, Gertie Lambert, Martha Simmons, Mary Johnston and Nettie Moyers.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Franklin Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Tom Davidson, Elder David Hartman, President Greg Harman and President Kelly Harman officiating. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Franklin. Arrangements were by Kimble Funeral Home, Franklin.
