Obit - SLIGO - Harry Edwin Dixon, 94, of Sligo RD 2, a retired farmer, died in his home at 9 p.m., Sunday. Mr. Dixon was born July 7, 1869, in Piney Township, Clarion Co, a son of James A. and Lavina Over Dixon. He was married February 11, 1892, to Sarah Jane Smith, who died in July 1951. Mr. Dixon was a member of MT. Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving are two sons, Raymond E. and Edwin S. Dixon of Sligo RD 2; two daughters, Mrs. R.S. (Mabel) Kline of Sligo RD 1 and Mrs. Arthur (Iona) Botzer of Sligo RD 2; 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. O.E. Bartoe of Sligo RD 2, and a brother, Grover E. Dixon of Shippenville. Friends may call at the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Lewis Fox, pastor of the MT. Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in the MT. Zion Church Cemetery.
