Mr. Dixon was a farmer in Licking Township for 32 years before he retired. He was a 27 year member of the Sligo IOOF Lodge and a past master of Murphy Grange.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ola Mae McCleary of RD 1 Shippenville; two sons, Leo of Corning, N.Y., and Bruce of Callensburg; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Kline and Mrs. Arthur (Iona) Botzer of RD Sligo. One brother, Raymond Dixon preceded him in death.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday from the Cleo A. Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo with the Rev. James H. Winkler of the Fundamental Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, officiating. Burial was in Cedaeview Memorial Park near Strattanville.
