R.E. Dixon, Sligo, RD2, Dies at 70
SLIGO - Raymond Earl Dixon, 70, of Sligo RD2, died in the Brookville Hospital Saturday. Born in Porter Township October 31, 1894, he was a son of Harry E. and Sarah Jane Smith Dixon. He married the former Mildred McNaughton May 10, 1952, and she survives.
Mr. Dixon was a member of the Mount Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Willard (Leanore) Murdock and Mrs. Harold (Chelcie) Logan, a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert (Karen) Laughlin, all of Longwood, Fla., and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Edwin S. Dixon and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Mable) Kline and Mrs. Arthur (Iona) Botzer, all of Sligo RD.
Removal was made to the Hawk Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and until the time of services.
Services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Lewis Fox and Rev. Paul Lee officiating. Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
