She was the daughter of John Adam Smith, born May 1848 & died 1937, and Martha Philista/Falista (Smith) Smith, born 25 Feb.1855 & died 1933. OBITUARY - Mrs. Sarah Jane Dixon, 78, of Sligo, R.D. died at 6 a.m. Tuesday in the family home. She was born December 24, 1872, in Clarion County, the daughter of J. Adam and Philistia Smith. She was married to Harry E. Dixon, February 11, 1892. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Raymond, at home; Edwin S. of Sligo, R.D.; two daughters Mrs. Arthur Botzer and Mrs. Robert Kline, both of Sligo, R.D.; one brother, Amos M. Smith of Freeport; five sisters, Mrs. O. E. Barlett of Clarion, Mrs. John Summerville of Rimersburg; Mrs. Earl Haines of Union City; Mrs. N.A. Boodmacher and Mrs. Dale Furlong.
