Grover E. Dixon, Jefferson Township, Sharpsville, RD2, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday (4-7-78) at St. Paul Homes, Greenville. He was 92. Dixon was born July 23, 1885, in Clarion Co to James A. and Lavina Over Dixon. For more than 50 years he operated a farm in Hermitage. He was a member of The First United Presbyterian Church, Sharpsville, where he had served on the board of elders.

On Nov. 25, 1909, he married the former Alzora Gertrude Smith. She died May 18, 1967. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Bartholmew, Jefferson Township; four sons, Harold, Jefferson Township; James F., Hermitage; Donald A., East Lackowannock Township; and Jay A., Hempfield Township; a sister, Mrs. Ora Barto, Sligo, Pa; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
