Luna Romania Snyder was born 23 Apr, 1859 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Caroline Kilfoyle and George Gideon Snyder. She is the second oldest of their eleven children.
In her early years, Luna moved with her family to various places including Salt Lake, Cache, Weber, Davis and Summit counties in northern Utah. In 1864, she moved with the family to Wanship, Utah, and to Park City, Utah in 1874.
Luna married Brigham Alexander Bowman 18 Nov, 1879 in Park City, Utah. Brig and Luna built a house in Park City on property next to Brig's mother. Three children were born in Park City, Ray, Edith and Ernest. Her daughter, Edith, died in Park City in 1883. Luna and her family moved to Ogden, Utah, in 1885. Four more children were born, Blaine, Nell, May and Laurence.
She resided in Ogden until 1919 when she moved to Ophir, Utah. She resided with her son, Blaine, in Ophir. In 1928, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where most of her siblings resided. She lived in Los Angeles with her son, Blaine, until her death on 5 Nov, 1949 at 90 years of age.
