Account of Frank R. Snyder's Death
Franklin Richards Snyder, eldest son of george g. and Caroline K. Snyder born at Wellsville, Cache County, Utah December 8 1860, died at Salt Lake City July 12th 1932 from pneumonia after an operation for hernia.
"Deceased came to Park City, Utah with his family in 1874, where he lived until about twelve years ago when he moved to Salt Lake City where he has since resided.
His early years were spent in ranching and teaming, later taking up electrical engineering work, and was connected with the Park City electric plant for several years. He was also engaged in the coal business in Park City for some time and later was janitor and engineer at the school buildings of Park City.
Since moving to Salt Lake he had been employed for several years as electrician at the Newhouse Hotel.
In 1888 he married to Miss Nina Williams, daughter of the late James A. Williams, who was formerly a well known and estemed resident of Park City. Two children, Elsie and Francis Snyder, together with their mother survives and are living at Salt Lake City.
The following brothers and sisters also survive: Rilla, Jennie and Gideon Snyder; Mrs. Luna Bowman and Mrs. Zina Shepherd all of Los Angeles; Brig Snyder of Redlands, California; Dr. C.C. Snyder of Pasadena, California dn H.G. Snyder of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 15th at Salt Lake City.
During his long residence in this community, Mr. Snyder was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He was a man of high character and dependability, honest and straightforward in his dealings with his fellowman, a devoted husband and father and an ideal citizen, he passes on beloved and honored.
Children of Franklin Richards Snyder and Rhoda Nina Williams Snyder are: Elsie Nina Snyder, Frank James Snyder, Nellie Eileen Snyder, and Francis Richards Snyder.
