Olive was the fourth of eleven children of George G. Snyder and his third wife, Caroline Kilfoyle Snyder. She was born on the family farm in Bountiful, Utah. She grew up with her many siblings and the family moved to many places in northern Utah, including Bountiful, Wellsville, Salt Lake City, Wanship, Snyderville. She never married and the picture of her on this website was taken with two of her other sisters who also remained single women.
Olive apparently stricken with heart disease either as a birth defect or perhaps as a result of rheumatic heart disease from scarlet fever which was common prior to the days of antibiotics. Per her obituary, she had suffered with the disability for years and finally succumbed to the heart disease at the age of 36 years. Olive is buried beside her parents in the Park City Cemetery.
