Hays -- Edward S. Leiker, 88, Hays, died Tuesday, June 2, 1998, at Hays Good Samaritan Center. Mr. Leiker was born May 3, 1910, at Munjor and was a resident of the Good Samaritan Center for 10 years.

He was a retired bookkeeper with Farmer's Co-op and a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays.

Survivors include his wife, Philippa of the Hays Good Samaritan Center; five sons, Norman of Lubbock, Texas, Glenn, Eldon and Tearon, all of Hays, and Tom of Burley, Idaho; a daughter, Doris Wing of Hays; a brother, Henry S. of Hays; two sisters, Cecilia Gross and Mary Leiker, both of Hays; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays, the Rev. Bill Surmeier officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at Hays Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hays Good Samaritan Center in care of the funeral home. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home, 20th and Pine, Hays
