Mrs. Annie Galbreath Whitfield, 91, Route 1, Ailey, died Sunday in Bethany Home following a long illness. She was a native of Montgomery County, and a member of New Corinth Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the New Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. James Young and the Rev. H.T. Hetterick, officiating. Interment was in the Galbreath Cemetery with Murchison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Waldo Holland, of Collins; four sons, Eddie Whitfield, Augusta, Emmitt Whitfield, Vidalia, Curtis Whitfield, Panama City, Fla., and A.J. Whitfield, Vidalia; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Thompson and Mrs. Lula Thompson, both of Vidalia; two brothers, J.T. Galbreath and Elijah Galbreath, both of Vidalia; 21 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
