Hilton L. Whitfield, 59, of Reidsville, died Friday in Memorial Hospital in Savannah after a long illness.
The native of Montgomery County had been a resident of Reidsville 24 years. He was a member of the Williamson Chapel Baptist Church of Vidalia.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Thelma Whitfield of Reidsville; two daughters, Mrs. C.E. Williams of Savannah and Mrs. S.M. Johnson of Danville, Va.; two sons, Randolph Whitfield of Savannah and Ray Hilton Whitfield of Lyons; his mother, Mrs. Annie Whitfield of Vidalia; a sister, Mrs. Waldo Holland of Collins; four brothers, Curtis Whitfield of Panama City, Fla., Emmitt Whitfield of Vidalia, A.J. and Eddie Whitfield of Augusta, and 11 grandchildren.
