Mrs. Holland was a native of Toombs County and a 22 year resident of Metter. She was also a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, James Waldo Holland, Metter; three sons, Mark Holland, Albany, Dean Sasser, Rincon, and Mike Blackwell, Smoaks, S.C.; one step-son, J.W. Holland, Jr., Birmingham, Ala.; two daughters, Susan Snell and Sharon Kingery, Metter; two brothers, A.J. Whitfield, Vidalia, and Curtis Whitfield, Panama City, Fla.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held 10 a.m., Monday, July 6, 1998, at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Tattnall County with the Rev. Owen Williams officiating. Interment was in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the church or charity of your choice. Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
