The death of Mr. M.B. Whitfield occurred at Vidalia on May 1 after an illness of about five weeks. The deceased was 44 years of age at the time of his death, having been born in Washington County, moving later to Sharpe Spur.
The funeral services were held on May 2 at Galbreath Cemetery with Rev. C.L. Phillips officiating, being assisted by Rev. W.T. Coleman. Interment was in Galbreath Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: John T. Galbreath, Robert Galbreath, Edgar Galbreath, Herbert Galbreath and Herbert Thompson.
