Mrs. Lula Galbreath Thompson, 93, of Route 2, Vidalia, died Sunday in Bethany Home following a long illness.

She was a native of Montgomery County, having lived most of her life in that county. She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Florence Clifton Galbreath. She was a member of the South Thompson Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the South Thompson Baptist Church with the Rev. Homer Aspray, officiating. Interment was in the South Thompson Cemetery with Murchison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were: Felix Odom, Richard Thompson, Danny Mac Thompson, Charles Wilkes, Terry Wilkes, Jack Gillis. Honorary pallbearers were: B.C. Stephens, Abbie Thompson, Tom Tippett, Maloy Polk, Danny Thompson, Emmitt Thompson, Clyde Jordan, Robert Galbreath, William Galbreath.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Henry Gillis, of Vidalia, Mrs. Eddie Odom, Soperton, Mrs. Arva L. Wilkes, Valdosta, Mrs. William P. Lutz, Joliet, Illinois; two sons, Dan Thompson, Alston and Arthur B. Thompson, of Vidalia; a sister, Mrs. Kate Thompson, of Vidalia; two brothers, Thomas Galbreath and Elijah Galbreath, both of Vidalia; 27 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
