Mr. John Thomas Galbreath, Sr., Rt. 2, Vidalia, Ga., age 95, died in the Wheeler County Hospital on Sunday, June 17, 1984 following an extended illness.

The retired farmer was a native of Montgomery County and had spent a lifetime in Montgomery County. He was the son of the late Daniel W. and Florence Katherine Clifton Galbreath. He was a member of the New Corinth Baptist Church and Vidalia Masonic Lodge.

Funeral services for Mr. Galbreath were held at the New Corinth Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 19, 1984 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Corley officiating. Interment followed in Galbreath Cemetery following Masonic graveside services.

He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Pearl Whitfield, Vidalia, Mrs. Katherine Owens, Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Martha Austin, Burlington, West Virginia, Mrs. Elizabeth Ruis, Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Margarette Morrison, Vidalia; three sons, John T. Galbreath, Jr., Midway, Dan Galbreath, Burlington, West Virginia, Sam W. Galbreath, Lyons, Ga.; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
