Mrs. Emil Bogaerts
Mrs. Anna M. Bogaerts, 98, 715 S. Moore, died today at 7:40 a.m. at her home.
She was born Feb. 17, 1875, near Melrose, to Anastasia and Mary Ciskey Scieszinski. She had lived in Ottumwa for the past 25 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She married Mike Judge in 1900. He died in 1917. She later married Emil Bogaerts. He died in 1962. Surviving are three sons, Walter Judge of Albia, Frank Judge of Burlington and Mike Judge of Ottumwa; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Lahart of Albia, Mrs. Ann Feehan of Ottumwa, Mrs. Agnes Dawly of New Sharon and Mrs. Margaret Carlo of Kansas City, Mo.; 20 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dan Scieszinski of Davenport and Edward Scieszinski of Jamesville, Wis. She was preceded in death by three sons.
The service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church where a Requiem Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Cusack, associate pastor. Burial will be in the Melrose Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
A rosary service will be held at the Johnson Funeral Chapel Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
