Prince Albert Thompson, 70, died at his home in Center Saturday after an apparent heart attack.

The native of Toombs County was a member of the Center Methodist Church and was a retired sawmill operator.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Annie Polk Thompson of Vidalia; four sons, Robert H. Thompson and Gene A. Thompson of Chesapeake, Va., Richard Thompson and Ronald D. Thompson of Vidalia; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Lewis, Mrs. Abbie Jo Tippett and Mrs. Sara Register of Vidalia; his mother, Mrs. A.P. Thompson of Vidalia; two brothers, Arthur B. Thompson of Vidalia and Dan Thompson of Alston; four sisters, Mrs. H.D. Gillis of Vidalia, Mrs. Eddie Odom of Soperton, Mrs. Arva Wilkes of Valdosta and Mrs. William Lutz of Joliet, Ill.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Center Methodist Church with Rev. George Coursey and Rev. Wade Rollins officiating. Interment was in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Jack Gillis, Ray Dowdy, Paul Tippett, Fred Tippett, Johnny Dixon and L.G. Herndon. Honorary pallbearers were Carlos Tootle, B.C. Stephens, Wade Garrett, Curtis Outler, W.W. Rowland, Tom Tippett, Bill Tippett, Roy Thompson and H.D. McNair.

Murchison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
