Evidence that Polly had been married to a "Rush" before her marriage to Valentine. She married Valentine Ferst in August of 1866 -she 41yrs and he 22yrs. There were no children. They were married 34 yrs before his passing. Valentine & Polly were busy helping to raise several nieces & nephews - and Polly's mother - in her later years. Valentine passed on August 29, 1900, and is buried in Manbeck Cemetery (Now Zion Evangelical). Polly passed away at Pottsville Hospital. The Church Service was from Pottsville Lutheran Church, and she was/is buried by herself at St. Peters New Lutheran Church Cemetery - The newer one on the cliff over-looking the church - to the left. Have copy of her Last Will & Testament - Left her home and 15 acres of land to Nephew George Gibson - son of her sister Ellen Elmira Eliza Eckler Miller.
