Sadie May Walters, 76, 2706 S. Franklin, died at 2 p.m. Friday at her home after an illness of 10 months. She was born Feb. 24, 1870, in LaPorte County, the daughter of Robert S. and Eliza A. Vantassel Moore, and had lived here 42 years. She was married Dec. 20, 1888, to Frank J. Walters who survives. Also surviving are the following children: Robert, Mrs. Florence Grant, Clarence, Frank, Jr., Harold and Helen; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; a brother, Reeves Moore, Rolling Prairie, and a sister, Edith McNeal, Washington. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Royal Neighbor Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Marvin Haas Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Kaufman will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood. Friends may call at the Haas Funeral Home Monday afternoon and evening and Tuesday until the hour of the service.
