Obituary from the Michigan City News Dispatch - September 20, 1951

Frank J. Walters, Sr., 85, 203 Congress, night watchman at Hoosier Factories, Inc., died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony Hospital following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Marvin Hass Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Carl Westphal officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood. Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of the service. Mr. Walters was born May 10, 1866 in Buffalo, N.Y.m the son of Christ and Mary (Kroll) Walters. On Dec. 20, 1888, in LaPorte County, he married Sadie Moore, who died in 1946. Surviving are two daughters- Mrs. Florence Grant and Mrs. Helen Arnot, both of this city; four sons - Frank W., Jr., Robert and Harold W., all of this city, and Clarence, Hammond; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Walters was a member of the First Baptist Church.
