Robert Christ Walters, 66, 300 Fairfield Ave., died unexpectedly at his home last night about 10. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Carlisle Funeral Home. The Rev. Wesley P. Husted of the First Baptist Church will officiate and burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening and Monday until the hour of the service. Mr. Walters was born Feb. 29, 1892, in New Buffalo, Mich., but lived virtually his entire life in Michigan City. His parents were Frank and Sadie (Moore) Walters. He was a retired fireman. Mr. Walters married Anna Linton Mason on June 22, 1951. She survives. Other survivors include three children - Mrs. Robert Smith, Devils Elbow, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; Mrs. Ernest Mooneyham, Michigan City, and Robert Walters, Williamston, Mich.; three brothers and sisters - Clarence F. Walters, Cedar Lake, and Frank Walters and Mrs. Frank Arnot, Michigan City, and 10 grandchildren. A brother, sister and son preceded him in death. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Eagles, Fireman's Union and the Indiana Assn. of Fire Fighters.
