Married Minnie Sauers at Rolling Prairie Methodist Church on December 11, 1898. Together they had three children:
1. Claude Harold Moore (b. March 29, 1900, in Three Oaks , Michigan)
2. Pauline Edna Moore (b. June 19, 1906, in Rolling Prairie, Indiana)
3. Robert Andrew Moore (b. November 20, 1913, in Rolling Prairie, Indiana)
Reeves lived most of his adult life as a prosperous farmer near Rolling Prairie. In addition to farming, Reeves was skilled in woodworking, even crafting his wife a rocking chair, and participating in the market hunting of ducks. He and his wife were active members of the Rolling Prairie Methodist Church. They were one of the first houses on the area to own a television.
Died at home on July 28, 1956, and was buried in Rolling Prairie on July 31, 1956.

Reeves Samuel Moore, 84, of Rolling Prairie, died at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at his home after a long illness. He was born in Rolling Prairie on April 14, 1872 to Robert Sayles and Eliza Moore and he lived there most of his life. He was a member of the Methodist church. On Dec. 11, 1898 in Rolling Prairie Mr. Moore was married to Minnie Sauers, who survives. Also survivng are one son, Claude H. Moore, Waterloo, Ia.; one daughter, Mrs. Claudis Van Dusen, Rolling Prairie; two grandchildren. One son, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Haverstock Funeral home with Rev. W. D. Archibald officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Prairie cemetery. Friends may call at the Haverstock chapel today and until time of the services.
