He had five brothers and six sisters; Emmett Lee, Irene Agusta, Maggie Arizona, Dessie Lorene, Cleo Marie (who married John "Papa John" McCuller), Rosie Viola, R.V. Batchelor, R.D. "Mutt" Batchelor, Wanda "Ray" Ray, Della Fay, Delbert Savoyee (who was born May 9, 1918 and died Dec. 19, 1918).
On April 15th, 1932 he married Vera Ishman and to that union was born one daughter; Shirley T. Batchelor Ritchey.
On December 2nd, 1938 he married Amie S. McCuller Batchelor in Ashdown, Arkansas and to that union were born three sons; Charlie Richard, Roger Dale and Jimmy Leon, three daughters; Amy Cleo, Oleta Mae and Margaret Rea.
He passed away in Mt. Pleasant, Tx. on March 29, 1988. Services were held on March 31, 1988 in DeKalb, Texas with the Rev. Oval Gatlin officiating.
Pallbearers were; Joe Strain, Byron Brewer, Wayne Ramsey, Glenn Batchelor, Bobby Huggins and Gary Batchelor.
He is survived by three sons; Charlie Richard, Roger Dale and Jimmy Leon, four daughters; Shirley T. Batchelor Ritchey, Amy Cleo (married name: Brewer), Oleta Mae (married name: Brock / Jones) and Margaret Rea (married name: Strain / Hodgson)
