Jimmy Leon Batchelor, 67, of Simms, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Batchelor was born July 25, 1947, in Old Boston, Texas. He was a truck driver with Pilgrim Pride Co., and a member of Godley Prairie Community Church, New Boston, Texas. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Millisa Calvert.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly Batchelor of Simms; one daughter, Teresa Easley of Cookville, Texas; two sons, Wayne Batchelor of Scroggins, Texas, and Bryan Batchelor of Simms; two sisters, Margaret Hodgson of DeKalb and Oleta Brock of Shawnee, Okla.; one brother, Dale Batchelor of Snyder, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bates Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery.
