Amie Semple Batchelor, 52, of Dekalb, died early Monday in a Mt. Pleasant Hospital.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Bates-Rolf Chapel in Dekalb with the Rev. Oval Gatlin and Rev. Paul V. Clark officiating. Interment followed at the Old Salem Cemetery in New Boston.

Amie was born in DeQueen, Arkansas to C.B. and Fannie Babcock McCuller, and had been a food service employee.

On December 2, 1938 Amie married Everett Leon Batchelor in Ashdown, Arkansas and to that union was born three sons and three daughters.

She is survived by three sons; Charlie Richard Batchelor and his wife Wanda "Ruthie" Batchelor of Lamesa, Tx., Roger Dale and his wife Mary, Jimmy Leon and his wife Dolly, all of Snyder, Tx.; three daughters, Amie Cleo Batchelor Brewer
and her husband Pat Brewer of Odessa, Tx., Oleta Mae and her husband Jimmy C. Brock of Lubbock, Tx., Margaret Rea and her husband Joe Strain of Dekalb, Tx., and one step-daughter, Shirley T. Batchelor Ritchey and her husband Max Richey of Houston, Tx.; six brothers, John "Papa John" McCuller of Simms, Tx., Charles L. McCuller of Coalgate, Ok., Calvin Billy "C.B." McCuller of Reeves, La., Buddy McCuller, David Harrison McCuller and James B. McCuller all of Ft. Worth, Tx.; two sisters, Doris M. McCuller Filo of Houston, Tx. and Mamie McCuller of Lamesa, Tx.; and 22 grandchildren.
