R.V. Batchelor was born on April 21st, 1923 to Richard Emmit Batchelor and Rosie Viola Bishop.

He married Ferrol Elva Fant on September 7, 1941.

He had five brother and six sisters; Emmit Lee, Everett L. "Ebb" Batchelor, Irene Agusta, Maggie Arizona, Dessie Lorene, Cleo Marie, Rosie Viola, R.D. "Mutt" Batchelor, Wanda "Ray" Ray, Della Fay and Delbert Savoyee (who was born May 9, 1918 and died Dec. 19, 1918).

He is survived by his wife Ferrol, their son; Louis Glenn Batchelor and his wife Kay, granddaughter; Janet Hammonds, grandson; Michael Batchelor, and great grandchildren.
