Graveside Services Conducted Here For Sarah A. Call
Graveside services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Afton Cemetery for Mrs Sarah A. Call 83, wife of the late Adolphus A. Call, former Afton resident. She died Thursday at 6:15 p.m. in a Salt Lake City hospital of natural causes.
She was born in Montpelier, Idaho Sept 20, 1879 to John F. and Elizabeth Jane Bradshaw Astle. She married Adolphus A. Call Aug 9, 1899 in the Salt Lake temple. He died June 8 1952. she was active in the LDS Church and served as an ordinance worker in the Logan temple for eight years.
She is survived by two sons and four daughters, 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and three sisters and three brothers. One of the sisters is Violet Astle, formerly of Afton, now of Logan, and Elwood W, Astle of Afton is one of the brothers surviving.
Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. in Salt Lake City and burial was in the Afton Cemetery.
