Adolphus Alwin Call, age 89, died January 6, 1992 in Bennion, Utah.

Born May 5, 1902 in Afton, Wyoming, a son of Adolphus Alwin and Sarah Isabelle Astle Call. Married Agnes Idonna Nielsen September 9, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Involved in Scouting for 20 years. He was a bishop of the Vernal 1st Ward, a bishopric conselor, on the High Council and filled many other positions. Served in school administration and as principal and teacher at Escalante, Monticello and Uintah County.

Survived by wife, Bennion; son, Duane D. Call, Sr., Salt Lake City; daughters, Mrs. Carl (Shirley) Stott, Bennion; Mrs. Kasey (Marilyn) Dahle, Lolo, Mont.; Mrs. David (Carol) Thornton, West Jordan; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Grace Wing and Mrs. Mabel McKibben, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Edith Isatt, Overton, Nevada.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., at the Bennion Heights 6th Ward, 5775 South 2700 West. Friends may call Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Rd. and Friday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
