Vera, the 18 year old daughter of Mr and Mrs. A.A, Call, died at her home in this city on Friday, December 20th , from pneumonia following the Spanish influenza. She contracted thje disease while attending S.V. H.S. and was sick just nine days. at the time of her death she was 18 years 6 months and 18 days of age, being born in Afton, June 2, 1900. Burial took place in the Afton cemetery last Sunday.
Miss Call was very popular with her school mates and was well liked by all who knew her. she possessed a beautiful disposition and unusual musical ability. Curing all her sickness she was never heard to offer a complaint. Her parents keenly feel the loss of their oldest daughter, who had always been the sunshine of the home.
