Services were held Thursday, May 29, 1986, at the Fairview Ward Chapel. Interment was at the Fairview, Wyo. Cemetery.
He was born July 3, 1922 in Fairview Wyo., a son of Alonzo Richard and Ida Susan Dixon Kennington. He married Venna Johnson, Sept 1, 1942, in the Logan Temple.
Dick was raised in Star Valley, where he resided most of his life, until his death. He spent 13 months in the service. He was employed with Bridger-Teton National Forest since 1961.
He graduated from Star Valley High School and seminary. He was a member of the Fairview Ward, where he served as a High Priest and had been a 100 percent home teacher for many years. He also served in the M.I.A. president and Sunday school president and counselor.
Surviving are his wife of Fairview, three sons and three daughters; James D., Fairview; Kevan J., Afton; Garry A., Evanston; Mrs Nolan (Melanie) Taylor, Afton; Mrs Dallas (Irene) Jenkins, Big Piney; Mrs Steve (Karen) Perry, Sandy,Utah; 24 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers; Harvey, Arch, Londell of Fairview; A.R. Jr., Layton Utah; four sisters: Maud Ranzenberg, Fairview; KarLee Thurman, Grover; Mrs LaVere (Deon) Johns, Afton and Mrs Rulon (Norma) Osmond, Hyde Park, Utah.
