Wirt Knox Bonner, son of John Laird Bonner and Elizabeth Boggs Robinson, was born at Bonnerville, Freestone Co., TX on 21 September 1891. He was named for his mother's brother, William Wirt Bonner Robinson. He was a farmer and carpenter and lived his entire life in the house in which he was born. He married Mattie Weaver in 1912. He served as a trustee for Burnett's Chapel School and as chairman of the voting precinct. A member of Harmony ARP Church at Stewards Mill, he served as Elder, Clerk of the Session and Sunday School Superintendent of the Sunday School. He suffered at heart attach and died at his home 11 January 1959.
