Ruth Bonner Webb GALVESTON — Ruth Bonner Webb, 81, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 1995 at her residence. She was born October 9, 1914 in Freestone County, Texas, the daughter of Wirt Knox Bonnet [sic] and Mattie Weaver Bonnet [sic]. She became a resident of Galveston in 1933 where she attended and graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing. She married Donald G. Webb in 1937. She worked as a registered nurse for many years doing private duty nursing and also at Turner Geriatric Center. She was an accomplished artist and a member of the Galveston Art League and Texas City Art League. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and The Daughters of the Nile. Visitation for Mrs. Webb will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 1995 at J. Levy & Bro. Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 30, 1995 in the Joseph Levy Memorial Chapel with Rev. William Zambon, of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Graveside services will be held later in the day at the Bonner Family Cemetery in Freestone County with Rev. John McCord officiating. Pallbearers will be members of the family. Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her daughter Doris Glenda Webb. She is survived by her husband, Donald G. Webb, of Galveston; her daughter, Vivian Webb Latimer and her husband W.W. Latimer, Jr., of Dickinson; grandchildren.
