New Carlisle---Mrs. Anna Mary Cox, 80, formerly of New Carlisle, Route 3, died at 5:40 p.m. Monday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Emma Sharp of North Vernon, Ind. She died unexpectedly.
Mrs. Cox was born Nov. 8, 1884 in Brookville, the daughter of Aaron and Mary Bucher Hoke. She was a member of the New Carlisle United Missionary Church. Her husband, Alpheus, preceded her in death in 1942.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Sharp; Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Young and Miss Helen Cox, both of New Carlisle; three sons, Earl of Greensburg, Pa.; Raymond and Albert, both of New Carlisle; three sisters, Mrs. Harry F. Steele of Springfield; Mrs. Emma Baldwin and Mrs. Clara Huffman, both of New Carlisle; two brothers, Harry and Jerry, both of New Carlisle; 11 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
The body was taken to the Chapman Memorial Home, New Carlisle, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and from noon Thursday until time of services 2 p.m. Friday in the United Missionary Church. The Rev. Jesse Seeker, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
