New Carlisle---Mrs. Emma B. Baldwin, 82, formerly of 312 N. Church st., New Carlisle, died in the New Carlisle United Missionary Home, 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, where she had been a resident for one month.
Mrs. Baldwin was born in Clark County, Sept. 19, 1886, the daughter of Aaron and Mary Bucher Hoke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira F. Baldwin, in 1952, also a member of the United Missionary Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Lenora) Biggs of Dayton, Mrs. Opal Plunkett of Tipp City and Mrs. George (Opal Dale) Johnson of Dayton; one brother, Jeremiah Hoke of New Carlisle; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Ada) Steele of Springfield and Mrs. Clara Huffman of New Carlisle; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home by the Rev. Jesse Secker, pastor of the United Missionary Church. Burial will be in the New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
