New Carlisle---Abram Alpheus Cox, 62, died at 4 p.m. Friday in his home four miles northeast of New Carlisle after an illness of about two years.
A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Cox for 29 years was a farmer here.
He is survived by his widow, Anna Mary Cox, and by three daughters, three sons, four sisters and 19 nieces and nephews. The daughters are Helen M., Dorothy E. and Mary Emma, all at home. The sons are Earl W. of New Carlisle, Route 3; Raymond A. of New Carlisle and Albert A., at home. The four sisters are Mrs. Anna Mary Parks, Mrs. Katie Walters, Mrs. Gertrude Funck, all of Lebanon, Pa. and Mrs. Bessie Widner of Bangor, Pa.
The body was taken to the Doom Brothers funeral home in New Carlisle, and will be returned to the farm residence Saturday night. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Liberty Church with the Rev. Albert Taylor and the Rev. Joel Harman participating. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
