JEREMIAH W. HOKE
New Carlisle---Jeremiah (Jerry) W. Hoke, 91, formerly of 317 S. Scott St., New Carlisle, died at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday in the Ohio Missionary Home, New Carlisle, where he had been a resident the past 4-1/2 years.
Born in Clark County, Oct. 22, 1889, a son of Aaron D. and Mary Alice Bucker Hoke, he was a retired farmer and a member of Missionary Church of New Carlisle.
His wife, Rhoda Crist Hoke, died in 1966.
Survivors include three sons, Walter M., Piqua, Joseph D., Springfield, and Merle C., Newark, O.; three daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Roberta) Artz, Vicksburg, Mich., Mrs. Carlon (Christina) Kress, Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Arvid C. (Barbara) Stanfill, New Carlisle; a sister, Mrs. Clara Huffman, New Carlisle, 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home, New Carlisle, from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Missionary Church by the Rev. Norman Rettig. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
His body will lie in state in the church one hour prior to services. Contributions may be made to the Missionary Church Memorial Fund.
