Dorothy E. Young 88, Of New Carlisle passed away Thursday , June 16, 2011 at Oakwood Village, In Springfield, Ohio. She was born February 8,1923 in Pike Township, Ohio the daughter of the late Alphus A. and Anna Mary (Hoke) Cox. She is survived by her daughter Bonne L. (Eugene) Carlos; four granddaughters Deborah L. (Wesley) Johnson, Rebecca J. ( Robert ) Alexander, Valerie K. (James) Herring, Kimberly A Carlos; five great grand children, Niki Koons, Tiffany L. Brown, Daniel I Carlos, Derek A. Johnson, Jeremy A. Jenkins; two step great grand children, Justin A. Jenkins and Tyler L Alexander; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Roy A. Young; siblings, Earl W. Cox, Raymond A. Cox, Albert A. Cox, Helen M. Cox and May Emma (Cox)Sharp. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 pm, Monday June 20, 2011 at the Trostel Chapman Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio. The funeral service will take place at 2pm on Tuesday, June 21,2011 at the funeral home with pastor Mark Hackworth officiating. Burial will be at New Carlisle Cemetery.
