MRS. AARON HOKE
Mrs. Alice Hoke, 84, widow of Aaron Hoke, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday in her home at 201 N. Scott st., where she had resided for the last 28 years. She had been seriously ill for the last three months. Her husband died approximately 20 years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Harry B. Hoke of New Carlisle Route 3 and J. W. Hoke of New Carlisle Route 2; four daughters, Mrs. Anna Cox and Mrs. Ada Steele of New Carlisle Route 2, Mrs. Emma Baldwin of Dayton Route 9 and Mrs. Carl Huffman, who resided with her mother; also a brother, George Bucher of New Carlisle Route 2.
The body was taken to the Doom Brothers funeral home and returned to the residence Tuesday afternoon. Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the New Carlisle Mennonite Church, of which Mrs. Hoke was an active member, with the Rev. Albert Taylor in charge. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
