Mrs. Ada Dangerfield, daughter of the late Mr. James Bailey and Mrs. Margaret Ellen Wright Simpson, was born July 17, 1886 in Green County and departed this life at 8:55 a.m. Sunday, August 12, [1973], at the Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville. She was 87 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. William Henry Dangerfield, December 10, 1905, and he preceded her in death June 8, 19[56]. To this union were born three sons and nine daughters. Surviving are Mrs. Mattie Lee Stilts, Louisville; Robert Dangerfield, Buffalo; Mrs. Hallie Beard, Greensburg; Mrs. Callie McCubbin, Campbellsville; Mrs. Vallie Creason, Greensburg; Mrs. Ellen Paxton and Mrs. Mae Bewley, both of Louisville; George Dangerfield and Mrs. Cleo Wright, both of Greensburg. Mrs. Addie B. Crumpton, Miss Nettie Dangerfield and Jonsy Dangerfield preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Dangerfield is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. (CDT) Tuesday, August 14, at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church with burial in the Arvin Thompson Cemetery. Revs. Terry Bishop and Manly Towles officiated. Pallbearers: Calvin Creason, Udell Dangerfield, Billy Dangerfield, Stanley McCubbin, Bobby Dile, and Charles Creason.
