William Henry Dangerfield, age 87 and son of Millan and Mandy Ellen Davenport Dangerfield, was born September 2, 1878 in Green County. He died at the Jane Todd Memorial Hospital in Greensburg Wednesday, June 8 [1966]. At the time of his death he was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. On December 10, 1905 he was married to Miss Ada Simpson, who survives. They were the parents of three sons and nine daughters. Surviving are: Mrs. Mattie Stiltz, R. J. Dangerfield, Mrs. Ellen Paxton and Mrs. Mae Bewely all of Louisville; Mrs. H. Beard, George Dangerfield and Mrs. Cleo Wright, all of Greensburg; Mrs. Callie McCubbin, . . . and Mrs. Vallie Creason, Gabe, Nettie and Johnny Dangerfield and Mrs. Addie Crumpton preceded their father in death. Mr. Dangerfield also leaves 29 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were held Friday, June 10 at the Oak Grove, Separate Baptist Church with burial in the Arvin Thompson Cemetery. Rev. Terry Bishop officiated. Pallbearers were: Billy and W.F. Dangerfield, Calvin Creason, Buddy Beard, Bobby Joe Dile and Stanley McCubbin.
