RITES HELD MON. FOR J.H. SIMPSON
John Henry Simpson, 74, died at 10 am Sat 24 Mar at his home in the Grab community. He was a son of the late Jim and Margie Wright Simpson, and was born in Green Co. 14 Sept 1887. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Letha Kidwell Simpson; 3 sons, Colby, Curtis and Riley Simpson, all of Louisville, 2 daughters, Mrs. Elma Price, Greensburg and Mrs. Pauline Vandagriff, Detroit, Mich; 1 brother, Luke Simpson, Greensburg; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ada Dangerfield, Mrs. Elsie Kessler, both of Greensburg; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Mon. at Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church with Rev. F.T. Pepper, Rev. Terry Bishop, and Rev. Carlos Compton officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Goldie Arnett, Olin Davenport, Cuttler Davis, Cecil Simpson, Loy Davis, and Gearon Simpson. Honorary pallbearers were Ellis Moran, Hobert Keltner, U.B. Slinker, Lonzie Simpson, Bill Davis, Earl Ronald, Pete Ronald, and Eugene Ronald.
