GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1981
Mr. Robert J. Dangerfield, son of the late Mr. William Henry Dangerfield & Mrs. Ada Simpson Dangerfield, was born January 26, 1909 in Green Co., KY; and departed this life at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 1981 at the Veterans Hospital in Louisville. He was 72 years, 6 months and 29 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Wesley Meadows Methodist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Myrtle Stilts January 13, 1935, who survives. To this union were born 2 sons and 3 daughters. Surviving are: Bill Dangerfield, Hardyville, KY; Mrs. Geneva Stinnett, Louisville; Mrs. Elizabeth Grigsby, San Antonia, TX; Mrs. Patty Mahaney, Hodgenville. Lewis Wayne Dangerfield preceded his father in death. Mr. Dangerfield is also survived by 1 brother, George Dangerfield, Greensburg; 7 sisters, Mrs. Mattie Stilts, Mrs. Ellen Paxton, Mrs. Mae Bowly, all of Louisville; Mrs. Callie McCubbins, Campbellsville; Mrs. Hallie Beard Nunn, Mrs. Cleo Wright and Mrs. Vallie Creason, all of Greensburg; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains are at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, August 28, 1981 with burial in the Arvin Thompson Cemetery. Revs. Lee Ward and Tom Morrison officiated. Pallbearers were: Calvin Creason, Mark Stinnett, Billy Dangerfield, Mitchel Mahaney, Udell Dangerfield and David Dangerfield.
